Hey :)

If you switch this little thing off, you will save a lot of energy!

If you want to go somewhere, with which travel opportunity whould you go?
Probably by car.
But to improve the environment, the bike whould be the better option.
It has got no harmful fumes and needs no fuel.
But there even more advantages, riding a bike is cheaper and also good for your figure ;)

Solar energy

Hey guys,
most people are familiar with solar systems.
They are very useful to improve the environment, because it is a technical system for converting solar energy into another form of energy.
A solar system of this size produces so much electricity that it is enough for a family for one year.

Rain barrel

You can collect rainwater in this rain barrels.
The collected water can be used for watering flowers and grass. Groundwater is valuable, so you can save water when you use the rainwater.

Be Veggie :)

Hello :)

I'm vegetarian for 5 years and I help the environment every day. Because cows and pigs are to 18% responsible for the greenhouse effect. If we eat less meat, this number would change.

The Slovak Team

The project "Do it for the future" has begun to build a new era of our school. After what our school has participated in this project, our students could visit the countries that also participated in this project. In each country they had the opportunity to experience new things, meet new people, find many friends, experiences and get to know new cultures, but also participate in activities to prepare for them. Our school has undergone big changes, The Posters have occurred on the walls saying about separating, and what is especially important at this time. On The corridors and classrooms have appeared waste bins for plastic and paper. Students have actively involved in separation and we can say that this project has contributed in whom, to change their eco-thinking and start doing something for our nature and the environment. Nevertheless, we can find someone who confuses paper with plastic. The fact that this project was a great success, demonstrated by the questionnaire, which we prepared for our classmates and by which we can say that students have started separate very seriously and learn to separate at home and its surroundings. We hope that this idea will continue, we will contact the other schools, we would like to start from nursery schools because i tis very important to learn young children how separation is important .We hope that we and also they will spread the idea further.

There are some opinions of our students and teachers:

Stop smoking!

Hey :)

Did you know that it takes 150kg of wood for 1kg of tobacco to dry? That's another reason to be a non smoker, except that it is unhealthy. In addition, the toxins of a discarded cigarette enters the groundwater and contaminate it. A single cigarette contaminated thus 40 liters of our most important source of drinking water.

Backyard plants

Hey guys,
on the picture can see the plants I started to grow in our backyard instead of buying the supermarket stuff and support the big companys with their environmental unfriendly turnover directed politic.
I know it´s just a very little step but it is a start.

Transformers!

Some days ago we went to Civitanova Marche, a village near Macerata and we entered a shop full of recycled objects. We liked a little bag made of the m&m's package: it was very nice and colored and Ilaria decided to buy it, while Arianna choose a wonderful ashtray built with recycled glass.
We enjoyed a lot that day and we'd like to return there again!
Greetings from Italy, see you soon in Spain :D

National day of nature parks. Great idea !

In Bulgaria the 23rd of May is the national day of nature parks. On this day all nature parks in Bulgaria receive some extra attention. In Strandja Nature Park, Bulgaria’s largest and most important protected area, a big spring-clean of the park took place.

Keeping beautiful areas beautiful

A bus full of volunteers came to help with the cleaning of some of the most popular spots in the park. We joined them and armed with garbage bags and gloves, we were sent on a mission to remove as much rubbish as possible. Together with the staff of the park administration, including the director, we worked for several hours to clean a variety of places. It felt really good to be able to do something to help preserve this beautiful area.

Those people have decided to make our environment better and healthier :)

Those children changed their habits and they have started to do something to save our planet :)

These videos tell the story of how the Homestead School of New York helped save endangered rainforests in Costa Rica and Brazil. In 1996, the school built 500 bird houses from scrap wood and sold them to raise funds to adopt 50 acres of threatened rainforest. Through creative fundraising projects, Homestead has helped set aside and protect over 500 acres by raising $100,000 through SaveNature.Org's Adopt an Acre program.

recycling

Hi friend,

our names are Stefan, Dana, Julia and Vanessa and we are looking forward to coming to Spain. We would like to present our German way of recycling our rubbish. First of all, we have at least 3 different dust bins (organic rubbish, paper and ordinary waste) and a dust bin for plastic called "dual recycling system". For further information on this way of recycling read our next blog which will follow soon.
