Transformers!
Some days ago we went to Civitanova Marche, a village near Macerata and we entered a shop full of recycled objects. We liked a little bag made of the m&m's package: it was very nice and colored and Ilaria decided to buy it, while Arianna choose a wonderful ashtray built with recycled glass.
We enjoyed a lot that day and we'd like to return there again!
Greetings from Italy, see you soon in Spain :D

Abfallkalender 2012
What you can see on the picture is what we call "Abfallkalender 2012" it shows you when what sort of rubbish is taken by the garbage collection. It is very usefull to see when you have to put your garbage out and it even shows you when your Christmas trees will be taken.
This "Abfallkalender 2012" is from my city Seligenstadt but nearly every city has it´s own "Abfallkalender"

recycling
Hi friend,
our names are Stefan, Dana, Julia and Vanessa and we are looking forward to coming to Spain. We would like to present our German way of recycling our rubbish. First of all, we have at least 3 different dust bins (organic rubbish, paper and ordinary waste) and a dust bin for plastic called "dual recycling system". For further information on this way of recycling read our next blog which will follow soon.

Green Your City
Tip #1: Clean a Park or Beach
Choose a park or beach in your community that could use a makeover, then organize an outing to pick up litter there. It's a good idea to notify city oficialít and local businesses of your plans so you can get approval, and maybe some refreshments to reward your fellow do-gooders. Recycle and compost what you can, and contact your local waste-management provider and recycling center to tell them of your deposit. Your work will encourage more responsible use of the space, and make it safer for wildlife.

Stinking city of garbage !

Imagine the smell of garbage 18-million center. The Mokattam hills, on the outskirts of Cairo, is situated Manshiyat Naser village full of garbage. You say that at least one less than is found in our country in the east? The Egyptian economy, however, revolves around the collection and recycling of municipal waste, as the city has its official collection. Each family specializes in a kind of organic and that is used to feed pigs. Metals are melted down and reused, children sorted plastic bottles and glass products sold in the city. Carts with 3 m mountain trash pull horses. Here you will find shops and flats but there is often no water and electricity or plumbing does not work. Residents of at least save on air fresheners. Tie them in combination is malfunctioning drainage and odor in the village did not help too. However, it has one advantage ... unemployed, you are looking for is difficult.
There is a trailer to documentary about this city.

"Green" idea
Sony has a battery that converts paper to electricityThe team of researchers from Japan, Sony introduced organic products in an exhibition in Tokyo, an innovative way of gaining power - paper. The prototype battery was able to spin a small fan attached, as the "fuel" sufficed paper, cardboard eventually. In addition, the chemical process are not used any toxic substances, such performance could suffice as the battery for charging small electronic devices.
The principle of obtaining energy lies in the use of enzymes that break down material into glucose sugar. These are then combined with oxygen and other enzymes, which are the output of hydrogen ions and electrons. The work builds upon prior attempts which napájali music player fruit juice.
Although such batteries are far from commercial deployment, show a wide range of environmental energy collection. Due to the low power but hardly in the near future replace the traditional battery.
